Gothic Age of Art ( college project log book)

Gothic art was a style of medieval art that developed in France out of Romanesque art in the mid-12th century, the art contained the making of sculptures such as statues and gargoyles, which were usually place around medieval churches, these building were quite rare in the Gothic age, in what made them spectacular was the stained glass art work inside the church(s).

Gothic age art was known as a spectacular sight, as things you would usually see during this time period would all be the same, seeing this for one time only in your life can give you an image to remember. even though, the stain glass windows and statues seem quite popular in the Gothic age period, Gothic art is also presented through: paintings, manuscripts and printmaking, alter piece and panel painting.
these categories can be split into further groups, e.g different types of sculpturing such as:
monumental sculpture, portable sculptures etc.

i'm a very big fan of the Gothic art,  it's not like what you see now, usually i just see paintings or drawings, or some sculptures now and then, but the Gothic art pop out to you and stuns you, because it's so beautiful and imaginative, i have been a fan of the Gothic art for a very, very long time now, ever since i was a child, because i always thought it was fascinating, i always wondered how people were able to do such things with stone and glass, and i think it gives what we call art a very beautiful but interesting look on it.

not only has the Gothic age been able to create such works of art, but it has also been able to create things into a new form, such as arches which we now see in most churches, an unfamiliar shape in the Gothic
age, must have been something very interesting to see, especially when surrounded by all the art to go with it, it must have been spectacular, i love this type of work and i hope it carried on throughout the ages and generations to come.
